RMIT Publishing update
from VALA2012
RMIT Publishing would like to thank all who visited our stand
at the VALA conference last week. As always, meeting with librarians from
across the country - and beyond! - was a fantastic opportunity to hear what is
happening in libraries, and how we can continue to deliver easy-to-discover, relevant content to end users.

Product launch: Informit Literature & Culture Collection
VALA provided the perfect platform to celebrate the official launch of the Informit Literature & Culture Collection. Thank you to those to showed their support by attending our panel discussion 'Literature in Libraries: a thing of the past?' on the VALA Red Carpet, with guest speakers Phillip Edmonds, Managing Editor of Wet Ink, and Zora Sanders, Deputy Editor of Meanjin. This was followed by drinks and nibbles at the RMIT Publishing stand. A video of the discussion
will be uploaded in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!

Prize Draw winner announced
A big congratulations to Rebecca Whitehead, Liaison
Librarian for Nursing and Midwifery at Flinders University, who is the lucky
winner of our prize draw for a one day full pass to VALA2014. Thank you to all
who entered.
RMIT Publishing receives a Robert D. Williamson Award
Finally, RMIT Publishing was delighted to receive a Robert D. Williamson Award. This award is given in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the development of
information technology within Australian libraries. It also recognises the
pioneering work done by Robert D. Williamson. This was a welcome affirmation of the great work RMIT Publishing has done since Informit visionary Don Schauder won the award in 1995, and continues to do today. RMIT Publishing Director Heather Crosbie proudly accepted the award on our behalf.
