Please note AMI is no longer updated. AMI will remain available on Informit as an archive database.
Australasian Medical Index (AMI), produced by the National Library of Australia, is a bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles from over 160 Australian health and medical journals, most of which are not indexed for MEDLINE, on all aspects of health and medicine.
Source documents include journals, conference proceedings, government reports, selected monographs and National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) session reports (to 1996). While the AMI database does not contain all of the Australian records from the MEDLINE database, since 2001 we have been indexing some key Australian journals which are also covered in MEDLINE.
Subject coverage includes all aspects of health and medicine, with an emphasis on clinical medicine and paraprofessional fields.
AMI includes some material from the subsets of NHMRC and Aboriginal health records.
AMI also contains 2,000+ web links to content.
